Everyone was so excited to watch 15 year-old Elena Myers participate in this year’s AMA Red Bull Rookies Cup, a unique race series for nurturing young American racing talent, but according to a press release issued by Red Bull, the down economy has resulted in Red Bull canceling the U.S. Rookies Cup and shortening the European MotoGP Rookies Cup by two races.
