Never in my life have I found such a high concentration of likable females as I have in motorcycle racing. Jenn Lauritzen is just such a likable girl, and I’ve looked up to her ever since I first chased her around at a Zoom Zoom track day in 2006, both of us starry-eyed C groupers in love with our new hobby.
Fast forward two years, to September 2008. Here’s a photo of me chasing her around Thunderhill during a 650 Twins race on our Suzuki SV650s, taken by the Illustrious Tomas “Toe” Covinha of 4theriders. I tried to pass her here in turn 3 like a bazillion times, then finally got her with a very unladylike pass on the brakes into turn 10. She showed me a wheel a few times but I held my position and finished the race barely a bike length ahead. Jenn clearly wasn’t happy about it though and gave me a sound beating in Formula IV. Even that was fun ’cause Jenn’s just so cool!

Thinking about maybe kinda showing Jenn a wheel soon
And another 4theriders creation, although I’m not sure if it was Joe or Toe behind the Canon. This is Jenn with both wheels in the air, going over the curb on the exit of the turn 1 chicane at Infineon Raceway. Bad ass!
