Says the great Krystyna Kubran about Elena Myers’ and Angie Loy’s impressive performances in Vegas at WERA West April 12. Here’s the RoadracingWorld.com article: Toye On Top During WERA West Action At Las Vegas Last Weekend
What’s amazing about this is that Jeremy Toye is a NATIONAL AMA racer. He is very, very fast, and would likely be a contender for the top positions in the AFM’s Formula Pacific, and he just barely squeezed out wins over Angie Loy in B Superbike (generally for 750cc machines and smaller) and Elena Myers in C Superbike (generally for 600cc machines and smaller).
What I find most inspiring about Angie Loy is that she, like me, took up motorcycles later in life. Possibly in her thirties, although I would need to verify that. And in just a few short years with lots of hard work, she’s getting wood (um, no, you perverts, this means getting a trophy for finishing in the top three spots) in major races against some seriously fast doods. All this from a woman who weighs less than a buck twenty, has a little white purse dog named Dr. Dre, and recently gave up tire money to get hair extensions. I. LOVE. IT. Angie, you kick ASS and are such an inspiration to me!
