Angie Loy Dominates WSS at Fontana

Congratulations to Angie Loy for winning WERA’s first ever women’s racing class! The class is officially dubbed Women’s C Superstock, or WSS for short, and was held for the first time at California Speedway on January 4. There were seven ladies on the grid and they placed as follows:

Fifteen year old up-and-comer Elena Myers had the fastest laptime of any female racing this weekend with a 1:33.052 on her Honda RS250R, likely preparing for the upcoming Red Bull Rookies Cup season. Special mention goes out to Krystyna Kubran, one of the only women I know riding, let alone racing, a literbike. She’s quickly rediscovering the joys of racing with her R1’s 180 horsepower at her command! The rest of the ladies also had great showings in their usual classes. Congratulations all around!
