Just in case anyone’s wondering who the fastest girl in town is, or heck, in the country, it’s fifteen year old Elena Myers.
Elena smokes the boys and men she races against; most recently in November 2008 she won B Superbike with WERA West on her Kids: Don’t Smoke!-sponsored Kawasaki ZX-6R, a race for 750cc inline four motorcycles and below. What the heck was I doing when I was fifteen? Daydreaming of becoming a professional tennis player and writing “I <3 Andre Agassi" all up inside my Trapper Keeper. I bet she daydreams of being a professional roadracer and writes “I <3 Chris" on her geometry homework, although unlike me, she has already achieved an astonishing level of success at her young age in her chosen sport. I feel lucky to be racing at the same events she races at; it's fun knowing someday I'll be watching her in MotoGP saying, "I used to watch her race when she was fifteen..." She's a girl who kicks ass like ass has never been kicked before, and I'm excited to watch her race more WERA events this year.
