Want to Train for Racing? Try Moving.

So I just moved to another home in Santa Rosa, California. Our landlords were separating, and the wife wanted to move back into their old house, which just happened to be our house which we were very cozy in, thank you very much. Well, except for the tight driveway, making trailer reversing very interesting. And, the drug dealers across the street. It was a nice neighborhood except for them, really! And I really hated how the spray from the kitchen sink was so powerful and so fine that I would get misted all over every time I did the dishes. But that’s beside the point.

The point is, our new home is nearly 1,000 square feet larger, has a three car garage, has a spiral staircase, and faces a creek. Did I also mention that it’s cheaper? And that we kicked ASS on this move, hauling butt back and forth and up and down and round and round? What a workout, and we got it all done in a day!

So my blog updates have been temporarily interrupted. My goal with the site is to update every day of the work week, even if it’s just a little blurb saying “women racers rock, no news to report.” I promise I will do better.

There was a WERA race at Talledega this past weekend while I was zooming around Laguna Seca on a KTM Super Duke. Teri Gorrell and Dawn Holgate had an epic battle in Women’s Superstock, and I’ll post Teri’s exciting race report tomorrow. Stay tuned!
