More on Melissa Paris’s Historic Daytona 200 Run

The amount of support Melissa had at this event was incredible, the rest of us roadracing girls are soooo jealous! She really looked like she had an awesome team backing up her impressive skills and determination. What’s so awesome about her accomplishments at Daytona is that she showed the world what a talented girl can be capable of with the right support backing her up. Check out this excellent video from On the Throttle:

Jenny Tinmouth – Another Lady Heads to Isle of Man TT

jennytinmouth

British Superbike racer Jenny Tinmouth announced recently her intentions to make her debut entry at the 2009 Isle of Man TT aboard her Honda CBR600RR. The Isle of Man TT is known throughout the world as one of the most dangerous and historic road races ever, with racers competing amongst storefronts, guard rails, cliffs and more. Oh my! Good luck Jenny! I’ve only heard of one other woman racing the IOMTT and that’s Maria Costello, although I don’t know if she plans to race it this year or not.

Thanks to Krystyna Kubran for the tip!

WERA National Roebling Road Results

I had heard of Teri Gorrell and seen her sunny face updating some of my racer girlfriends’ wall posts on Facebook, but had never met her or communicated with her until just yesterday morning. After not having raced in two or so years, Teri hit the track again this past weekend for the WERA National Round 1 at Roebling Road in Bloomingdale, Georgia.

MP on your TV

I am so bitter that I missed seeing Melissa Paris race on my tv screen. I was partying it up in Tahoe after a long, hard day skiing fresh powder and double black diamonds at Heavenly, which is pretty rad, but nothing can possibly compare to one of our own, Miss Melissa Paris, coming in 21st under the lights at Daytona. That’s not 21st in the powder puff class ladies and gents, but 21st behind such folks as Ben Bostrom, Jason DiSalvo, Jamie Hacking and Miguel DuHamel. I swore I would never swear in my blog, but it’s fucking rad. Awesome job Melissa! Can’t wait to get the details.
